when i try:
ip link set waln0 up
i get:
Operation not possible due to RF-kill
I am using b43 driver and firmware version 478.104.
I have noticed that when I enable b43 module after I disable it LED of hw wifi button on my laptop blinks, for a second.
From dmesg:
b43-phy0: Lodaing firmware version 478.104 (........)
b43-phy0: Radio hardware status changed to DISABLED
b43-phy0: Radio turned on by software
b43-phy0: The hardware FR-kill button still turns the radio physically off. Press the button to turn it on.
I pressed the button, but nothing happens.
Any ideas?

This might sound stupid, but did you try to rerun the
ip link set waln0 up
after pushing the button?

I installed rfkill, but my card stays hard blocked.
Can you use rfkill to unblock the device? If not can you post the output from rfkill?

It seems that bios was the cause of the problem. Restore to default. Someone must have been messing with bios before. Tnx, guys.
