Splash screen in Virtualbox?

I am running Arch in Virtualbox.

What options do I have for splash screen in Virtualbox?  From what I know KMS / plymouth doesn't seem to be an option.

Maybe use vesafb and splashutils or splashy. But I think support is going to be hard as you have to integrate it with SystemD itself.

Pardon my ignorance, but are you saying I can't use KMS? If so, would you elaborate a little bit more? I've trying to make KMS work with VirtualBox without success, so if it can't be done, I'm going to save further trouble.

Please don't necrobump, solamour. thomaschik hasn't visited the forums in over a year, so you're unlikely to get a response.
