Installing Arch on laptop

Ok, so yesterday, I managed to get Arch Linux installed on a laptop, I was able to get wifi working. However, I think I installed Arch wrong. I didn't install the wifi packages, so I had to use a wired connection to grab the packages. I'm going to redo the install today, just to familiarize myself with arch more.

While using the arch-chroot shell, I know it's possible to install grub, but is it possible to use pacman to install the netctl, wpa_supplicant, dialog, and iw packages as well, or would I use pacstrap to install them?

Re: Installing Arch on laptop

Yes, you can install anything that is in the repos from within the iso.  There really is no reason to reinstall - you can boot the iso and and add any packages you still need, though it sounds like you've already done this via the wired connection.

EDIT: I just reread - you could use *either* pacstrap from within the installation iso, *or* you could use pacman from within the chroot.  I normally install several packages including wireless tools with base and base-devel with the initial pacstrap command.
