Clean install with fluxbox

Hi,

Im doing a clean install of Arch noodle.

I only want to use fluxbox and blackbox.

What do I do from the rootlogin after the full install?

Do a base install, then do

pacman -S pacman
Pacman -Syu
Pacman -S fluxbox blackbox

After doing this the system will boot into fluxbox/blackbox? Or do I need to set anything?

After that you can log into your user account (I assume you have one) on command line and put 'fluxbox' in your ~/.xinitrc and type 'startx' on the command line to start it. If you want some autologin or a graphical login, you will need to look into a display manager. There's lots of different ones mentioned on forum posts if you search.

And just so your clear, if you've installed from arch-full, there may be apps on your system that you don't need. Have a look at pacman -Q and get rid of anything superfluous.

If you don't feel comfortable using the command-line version with pacman -Q, you can also download and install pacmenu (in the repos) for easier navigation and removal/installation.

Thanks for your help.

Im using GDM, and fluxbox is added to menu so I can choose to use that as my WM.
But I also installed Blackbox, and it didn't appear as an option at the loginscreen.

How do I add blackbox as an option?
