[Solved] 3.13.5-1 Keymap problems

I updated to 3.13.5-1 and when I rebooted I had the use of my keyboard but not all of the keys, the right side of the letters seems to have rebound to the numpad of a full size keyboard, I have a 13" laptop.
I have done everything as per the 'Linux 3.13 WARNING: PS/2 keyboard support is now modular', announcement.

Output of : dmesg -t | grep '^i8042'

i8042: PNP: PS/2 Controller [PNP030b:PS2K,PNP0f13:PS2M] at 0x60,0x64 irq 1,12

mkinitcpio.conf

MODULES="atkbd"
BINARIES=""
FILES=""
HOOKS="base udev autodetect modconf block filesystems keyboard fsck"

CMD Line in: /etc/default/grub

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet libata.force=noncq earlymodules=atkbd modules-load=atkbd"

-I have run both 'grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg' and 'mkinitcpio -P'.
-External keyboards work no problem.
-I have tried to change the keymap both UK and US are the same.

Suggestions?

Edit: Added more outputs

Re: [Solved] 3.13.5-1 Keymap problems

Do you have custom udev rules for this keyboard? If you place those in an external file, it will not be included in the initcpio.

Re: [Solved] 3.13.5-1 Keymap problems

Rolling back is not going to help. You have to rollback mkinitcpio for that. It's not a direct change in the kernel.

Re: [Solved] 3.13.5-1 Keymap problems

Try to add "keymap" hook to HOOKS part of mkinitcpio.conf.

Re: [Solved] 3.13.5-1 Keymap problems

Added it, built it and rebooted. Didn't fix it.
Using the keymap viewing tool in Gnome it shows the right side of the letter keys being bound the the numpad, which doesn't exist. It seems more like a keyboard detection issue than key mapping. Is there a way to manually select a keyboard type?

Could you post your full dmesg?

It is rather long...

Not sure how to make it shrinkable. Never mind, it scrolls.

Re: [Solved] 3.13.5-1 Keymap problems

FIXED

Booted into the most recent live CD - Keyboard worked fine
Rebooted into system and the keyboard was working again, not sure why. Would like to know if anyone does.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.
