I'm trying to update my system and get a lot errors. I already read about the new Binaries move https://www.archlinux.org/news/binaries … ervention/. However, I'm getting additional errors referring to several programs. Here's what I got:

For example if I execute the command
pacman -Qqo /bin /sbin /usr/sbin | pacman -Qm -I got:
initscripts 2012.10.1-1

The "exists in filesystem" error usually mean a corrupt pacman database. See the Common Problems thread in the Newbie forum.

I'd say it's the easiest if you backup your personal files and configs to dropbox or an external drive and just reinstall. Rolling release distros have to keep rolling.
