I installed arch just fine with 1 video card with the catalyst drivers from Vi0L0's repo. I then move the machine and attach a few more GPUs to it.
Now when I use 'startx' the machine hangs at "Loading extension GLX". I checked the Xorg log files which are all empty. I tried 'startx -- -extension GLX' which just brings a black screen.
Every reboot when I startx I will get the error that no adapters are found, so I will 'aticonfig --initial --adapter=all' but then it again hangs at GLX yet again. I have tried rebuilding the catalyst modules and using an older Catalyst driver...I am out of ideas...hoping someone here has some. Thanks.

Which GPUs did you try to add ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

I installed arch with 1x R9 270, Then now trying to add 5 more 270s. All cards are detected and
this same system worked with a debian install previously.

Ok, try adding one GPU, get that working before adding more.
Claire is fine.

That's one thing I also tried. x starts just fine with 1 GPU but when even 1 more is added, it hangs.
