Where did this wallpaper come from?

I recently got a bigger monitor (old is 1680x1050, new is 1920x1200) which means I now need a higher resolution copy of my all-time favorite desktop wallpaper - which appears to have disappeared from the Internet! sad

Does anyone know the source or where I may get a higher resolution copy?

(Sorry for such a lame thread topic. Feel free to make your own image source request too.)

Re: Where did this wallpaper come from?

Google reverse image search (search by image) reports 'No other sizes of this image found.'
If you remember where exactly did you get it from, you can try using the Wayback Machine / Internet Archive.

This wallpaper shouldn't be that hard to recreate or you can just stretch the old one ;P

Re: Where did this wallpaper come from?

Sorry to hear about your loss.  I used TinyEye image reverse and didn't get any hits either.  Do you clear your history?  Did you rename the pic?  What is the original pic name?  Can you check your history for url?

One of these https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=166062 could be a good place to start

Re: Where did this wallpaper come from?

Thanks for helping me look. Those are all good ideas. I'm afraid I keep my web browser history pretty clean. I don't remember where I got it from, but I assumed it was from someone on these forums...

I'll keep searching, but yes, I may have to settle for *gulp* stretching it. tongue

Re: Where did this wallpaper come from?

This wallpaper is not too difficult to generate. A black background in inkscape, a bezier-curve filled with a transparent whitish gradient, a grid and some contours with a bit of blur.

WOAH. Very nice! yikes Looks like it's time for me to learn how to use Inkscape. tongue

Well, that version will never be too small for any screen resolution. Thank you!

Re: Where did this wallpaper come from?

So... I am using this wallpaper and... I like it!!  Thanks progandy!  Basically, when I center float some windows, the grid borders make it look nice.
