Black screen when waking up from suspend after kernel update

Hello, I've a HP Envy Laptop which was suspending ok, after the update to kernel 3.13 when waking up from suspend (or resuming) there's no screen, the problem is not with the backlight because the screen is iluminated but no image are displayed, i could connect to the laptop with SSH tried to restart KDM but it didn't work, also i cannot go to any tty (maybe it goes but theres no screen)

What can i do? dmesg didn't show anything strange and it was working before, i don't know what logs to see.

I just started having the same problem on my desktop. Nothing in the logs that I can find, just Suspending system...  and that's it.

I don't think the keyboard is working at all, I would at least be able to reboot in the dark, not to mention Caps/Num lock lights won't come on either.

Mine started after I went from 3.13.5 > 3.13.6, but I also upgraded nvidia (331 > 334) and systemd (208-210) in the same -Syu, amongst others.

I want to add that I've a Intel card, so the problem is not video drivers. Also the problem was when updating from 3.13.5 to 3.13.6 but downgrading to 3.12 didn't work, seems like the updated messed something. Or another package is the problem.

Downgrading the kernel didn't work for me either.

I tried downgrading systemd to 208, this froze my system on bootup. Had to chroot in with a recovery disc and go back to 211.

Next I tried suspending with pm-utils instead, this didn't help either.

Trying to decide what to attack next.

This finally solved itself, in my case I believe it was nvidia that was causing it, the upgrade from 334 to 337 seems to have done the trick.

Edit: Maybe I spoke too soon, couldn't get anything to resume again this last time.
