HDMI video output broken on kernels after 3.12.7

Hi,

I have 3 computers with identical hardware. (Asus Z87-A motherboard, Gigabyte Geforce 660 Ti, i5 4670K). On two computers i connect to the monitors via HDMI (Monitors are Acer G246HYL). As soon as I update the kernel from 3.12.7-2 the monitors cannot display the output. I only get the message "Input not supported".

I truly have no idea even how to begin solving the problem. Currently I am keeping my kernel downgraded, but that hurts my soul. Where do I begin?

Which GPU driver are you using? Do you get any output from another output such as DVI?
