Hi guys!
I experience very slow loading times (2-3min) in source engine based games (especially TF2, L4D2, Dota 2) under Linux. However I have no FPS problems, just the games are a little bit laggy for a few seconds after they finished loading.
Under Windows everything is okay on the same computer.
Source based games seem to use too much ram (swap?). Setting texture details to low normalizes the loading time.
Any ideas?

Submit a bug report to Valve. It's "normal" behaviour. Also I have long loading times in L4D2 on Windows, too.

I have already submitted a bug report, but they don't seem to care. My loading times on Windows are 2-3 times faster (probably TF2 is the slowest on Linux, it's just unacceptable to wait 3 minutes to load a new map so I can't get in for the first round).
