When I run "pacman -S xfree86", I get errors about not being able to "get filesize" and "failed to download" several of the files (like fontconfig). I aborted the operation with CTRL-C. I also tried cleaning my cache with "pacman -Sc".
I searched around the forum, and the solution seemed to be to rotate my pacman.conf entries. I'm not too good with nano or vim yet, so I thought I might just try again later tonight.
Should that work? / Is anyone else having mirror problems right now?
thx

nano /etc/pacman.conf
edit the things using keyboard
CRTL-O saves the file
but i think you have another problem, because if a mirror fails to run, pacman automatially goes to the next entry to try

Do you have the newest copy of the dbs? Did you pacman -Sy yet? Without that you're trying to download an old version of stuff.
