xrandr rotation speed

Hello,

I have a laptop with a touch screen and kde installed. I use xrand to rotate the display. However, when I rotate the display with xrand

xrandr -o left

the display become black for a few second then rotate, while if I use the kde display utilities,

kcmshell4 display

the rotation is quicker.

I want to program an graphical utilities to rotate my screen and do other stuff and I was wondering how kde  rotate the display.

I have searched in vain for source of the kde application.

Thank you for your help
