I have an AMD graphics card and my built in one is from Nvidia. I've installed drivers for the AMD one from the unoffical repo, according the arch wiki.
When I try "startx" it fails, I've included what seemed to be relevant parts from the error log here. My xorg.conf generated by aticonfig --initial, the output of lspci | grep VGA:
# lscpi | grep VGA
00:0d.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation C61 [GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a] (rev a2)
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cape Verde XT [Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition]

I've posted the same question on superuser, I realised there's this forum so I posted it here too.

I am not familiar with the proprietary AMD drivers, but this page says that the newest version is not compatible with X Server 1.15, which you have installed:

Thanks, haven't seen that box before. Removing X (due to some other problems not actually related to Arch I had to reinstall it (so I assume removing X will do)), adding
[xorg114]
SigLevel = TrustAll
Server = http://catalyst.wirephire.com/repo/xorg114/$arch
to my pacman.conf, doing a "pacman -Syy" and reinstalling all the X softwares fixed it for me.
