Hi,
I am using Dropbox only occasionally. And because it slows down XFCE start by causing very much Disk I/O, I have deactivated Dropbox in
Settings -> Session and startup -> Application Autostart.
But when I start Dropbox manually, it re-activates its own autostart and I have to deactivate it again.
This is probably a "feature" to help people not to forget it. But in my case, the feature is an annoyance.
Does anyone know a trick to prevet it ?
Thanks and Regards,
Markus

Start dropbox, open the dropbox settings and disable the autostart option. Then check the XFCE autostart settings and disable it there too, if necessary.
If that doesn't work, try to edit ~/.config/autostart/dropbox.desktop manually and add "Hidden=true"
(See here if you want to know what this does: http://standards.freedesktop.org/autost … #id2695932 )

Oh, I overlooked the "autostart" option in the Dropbox settings.
Unchecking this has automatically removed the dropbox entry in
Settings -> Session and startup -> Application Autostart
Thanks
