I have a Fit-PC2, which has GMA500 graphics hardware. I have installed an up to date Archlinux, and with a standard monitor, everything seems to work fine.
Now I want to connect a DisplayLink monitor. I follow this advice. The DisplayLink does operate as expected when I connect it to my laptop.
Then on to the Fit-PC2. When I enter
$ xrandr --listproviders
I get this:
Providers: number : 2
Provider 0: id: 0x42 cap: 0x0 crtcs: 2 outputs: 1 associated providers: 0 name:modesetting
Provider 1: id: 0x1b4 cap: 0x2, Sink Output crtcs: 1 outputs: 1 associated providers: 0 name:modesetting
When I then do the suggested command:
$ xrandr --setprovideroutputsource 1 0
I get:
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 35 ()
Value in faied request: 0x42
Serial number of failed request: 16
Current serial number in output stream: 17
Any suggestions on how to remedy this is appreciated.
