Freeze after suspend

Hi!

I've search through the forum and the wiki but didn't find anything relevant (mostly old threads that are more related to a laptop problem than what I have, and I understood that it's bad to revamp old threads).

Well here it is, I've got my Arch running fine with GNOME 3 on my desktop PC. I've got an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz and an ATI Barts XT [Radeon HD 6870]. I'm running everything with the open source radeon drivers.

I got used to (thanks to GNOME 3) simply press the power button when I leave. This action, I suppose, is suspending my PC (and not hibernating, right?)
And sometime (I'd say once out of 5), when I hit the power button again, I only have a black screen but the mouse pointer is still working. I can Ctrl+Alt+2/3/4/.. but when I get back to 1, is still a black screen with the mouse.

From what I can recall, I always had this problem since I installed Arch a few months ago.
Does some of you have the same problem? Do you have some advice to help me find out from where the problem could come from?

Thanks!
