I don't think the instability of ath9k is solved at all. I can't speak for whether the connection is as weak as before (haven't really tested it), but the wifi card still regularly dies on me, reporting to dmesg what I quoted in a previous post:

@AbtZ You may want to start another thread for this issue. This is quite different form the problems I was experiencing. It had weak reception, and frequent disconnection, which were fixed in recent Kernel release.

Yeah, I get it. I just didn't know I was alone in experiencing that problem. I have frequent disconnects, like you reported, with the difference being that after a disconnect the wireless chip is dead for me until I reboot.

In any case, it's an upstream issue that's not directly related to Arch, so I'll try to go through other channels solving this issue.

I'm having this same issue. I recently reinstalled my entire system because of this issue, and it's still happening. I'm honestly not sure what to do about it because it occasionally causes my whole system to crash, especially when I'm on wireless.

EDIT: I managed to get this from dmesg, the issue is at the very end. It seems that this might also be causing Chromium to segfault.
