I have an Asus UX32VDA (the A at the end is important, it means I have 2 128GB SSDs in RAID0 without the onboard 24GB caching memory).
I'm having some trouble figuring out some issues I'm having with the system. Whenever I suspend and resume the mouse and keyboard will be completely frozen, but the display lights up.
If I switch to a different tty and then switch back, the keyboard and mouse are fine, but as soon as I touch one of them the entire screen will basically turn white. I can still read some text and kindof navigate around, but I usually just reboot to fix it (which defeats the purpose of suspend). On suspend resume I my internet (dhcp) doesn't get renewed, but I know how to fix that one...
On top of that, every once and a while randomly the mouse and keyboard will freeze. Switching to another tty and switching back fixes it. If I didn't suspend I don't get the white stuff.
I also just noticed that battery life is only about an hour... It decreases at a rate of about 0.02% per second. That's a discharge rate of about 16.4 watts according to powertop. Sometimes it will jump to around 19 watts which just feels ridiculous.
Power Update
I noticed that if I disabled the Nvidia optimus driver by starting x without the xrandr options in the ~/.xinit file and by renaming /etc/X11/xorg.conf, my battery life increased by about 4 watts. Is there an application that allows me to switch between these when needed? I'd like to stick to the Nvidia drivers and not have to use nouveau or bumblebee.
Finally, when I exit my x session I see the following error:
intel_dp_start_link_train too many voltage retriesI'm not too sure how to fix these. If anyone could help me find some leads I would be so thankful.

I found 2 bug reports that relate almost exactly to my Issue. It seems to be related to anyone running Nvida-Optimus

I have UX32VD and I'm getting this message as well:
[drm:intel_dp_start_link_train] *ERROR* too many voltage retries, give up
Did you solve it?
