Add more packages to base iso
Can i add packages that i have downloaded to the base iso? If add these packages to the pkg folder of the ISO and edit the setup/packages.txt are they going to be detected durng install?

well you would have to regenerate the current.db.tar.gz as well and you would have to then repack the base iso and reburn it.
it would be easier to do an ftp install.

burn them to a new CD as files
install the base-iso
load the system
mount the CD
pacman -U packagefile-someversion.pkg.tar.gz will install it
but it is easier to just say pacman -S packagename and catch it from the internet, as sarah31 said
