KDE - logout

Hi!

When I logout from KDE I got a message (error)"

waiting for X server to shut down FreeFonthPath: FPE ''/usr/share/fonts/misc: unscaled'' refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.

What is wrong, please?

Re: KDE - logout

What do you have in your /usr/share/fonts directory?

100dpi, 75dpi, artwiz-fonts, misc, TTF, Type1

In xorg.conf I have:

Section "Files"
    RgbPath      "/usr/share/X11/rgb"
    ModulePath   "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/misc:unscaled"
    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/misc"
    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi:unscaled"
    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi"
    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi:unscaled"
    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi"
#    FontPath     "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/PEX"
# Additional fonts: Locale, Gimp, TTF...
#    FontPath     "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic"
#    FontPath     "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/latin2/75dpi"
#    FontPath     "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/latin2/100dpi"
# True type and type1 fonts are also handled via xftlib, see /etc/X11/XftConfig!
    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/Type1"
#    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/ttf/western"
#    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/ttf/decoratives"
#    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/truetype"
#    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/truetype/openoffice"
#    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-bitstream-vera"
#    FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/latex-ttf-fonts"
#    FontPath     "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/defoma/CID"
#    FontPath     "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/defoma/TrueType"
EndSection

Re: KDE - logout

Well here is my xorg.conf font list:

    FontPath   "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/"
    FontPath   "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled"
    FontPath   "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled"
    FontPath   "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/"
    FontPath   "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/"
    FontPath   "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/"

I think your list of font references in xorg.conf doesn't match what's in your /usr/share/fonts directory, so try commenting something out in xorg.conf? Mayeb the  reference to "/usr/share/fonts/misc: unscaled''

You must be using xorg 7?

Yes, I have Xorg 7.
I commented "/usr/share/fonts/misc: unscaled'' and then was error for .../misc. If I commented both than I got an error ''could not open default font ''fixed'' and KDE (X) doesn't start.

I think that is something wrong in my xorg.conf configuration but I don't know what. Maybe something in the modules section...
