Tried upgrading xserver-xorg-git today, but couldn't get into lightdm on reboot.
TTYs were working, so I asked systemd what's up:
systemctl status lighdm
Told me it failed, but not why. Is it possible to get systemctl to tell me why?
I tried running lightdm from the tty:
lightdm --test-mode
Crashed with an error:
/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so: undefined symbol: LoadExtension
xorg-xserver-git is up to version 1.15.99.901.204.g901fbfb-1
nvidia is up to version 334.21
For now, I've gone back to the arch repository xorg-xserver and don't seem to have any trouble (yet).

Xorg are always changing their ABI, so Nvidia being broken is not surprising

Hrm... I suppose I'll wait for the next nvidia blob then....

What do you need xserver-xorg-git for?
The latest features and performance enhancements, whatever they may be (even if regressions negate them). Not so much a matter of need as addiction.
