Installing on a ASUS T100A

I am tempted by this hybrid tablet/laptop:

I wonder if anyone had success in installing Linux on it. I mean, a viable installation that could be used on a daily basis with all the essential features. The various posts I have seen here and there on the web are rather scary: it works, but only with 800x600 and various other problems... So I wonder if anyone has tried it and had a satisfactory result.

Re: Installing on a ASUS T100A

It has been suggested this thread be moved to the kernel and hardware subforum.  The moderators have started a dialog and we have mixed feelings.  For now, let us leave it here, but olive, if you would like it moved, report the thread and drop the moderators a note.  Thanks.

I've no experience with that laptop, but you would think they could come up with a more modern looking GUI than AOL circa 1995. tongue
