No log of previous boot

Hi

my home server running Arch (3.13.8-1-ARCH) spontaneously shuts down every now and then. I can tell it's some sort of shutdown (and not a power loss), because open ssh connections are closed properly and then the actual turning off process takes about as long as a shutdown usually takes.

To find out what's causing this problem, I want to check the logs of the previous boot. However, there are no logs of previous boots:

❯ journalctl --list-boots [9:47:31 PM]

Is there an option that I have to turn on such that the journal won't be deleted (if it is stored)? I never get any information on previous boots. Even if I use "systemctl reboot" to reboot properly.

Re: No log of previous boot

Post your /etc/systemd/journald.conf
and the output of mount

journald.conf is basically empty. Didn't change any of the options.
