ctrl-alt-backspace does not work if using evdev for keyboard

If I use the evdev driver for my keyboard - the only way to get the Win keys working properly - ctrl-alt-backspace can no longer be used to terminate X, and simply does nothing at all. Needless to say, this can be excruciatingly annoying for someone using Testing branch. How do I remedy this problem?

Have you using the xorg kbd driver for your keyboard and using lineakd to map your windows keys, as even if it does not know your model of keyboard it can be configured to map any with a bit of hacking...

I use the kbd driver and my win and menu keys work fine. I have them mapped in xfce4.

Nope... Win keys are not mapable with the "kbd" driver.

Regarding ctrl-alt-backspace, that's supposed instantly terminate X and any applications that use it... I'm not sure a keybinding would suffice.
