VFIO failure

Hi everyone
When I try to start my Qemu VM with VFIO passthrough to my graphics card, I get this error:
qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=01:00.0,multifunction=on,: vfio: error no iommu_group for device

VM-d and IOMMU are both enabled and supported on my system, what could be the cause of this?
It is on a laptop also.

The chances of getting an answer to this question are higher if you post it to this thread. It's probably even answered somewhere in there, but reading all of it might take a while.

Oh, and it's called Vt-d not VM-d.
