Hi!
I've tried to use my joystick (a logitech wingman force) with arch. I plugged it into the usb and the iforce module has been loaded. Unfortunately no /dev/input/js appears. I found this at the /var/log/messages.log:
iforce: probe of 2-7:1.0 failed with error -12
usbcore: registered new driver iforceI've had a look at google but can't find anything.
All necessary modules are loaded: iforce, joydev, analog, usbhid, usbcore
The joystick works on my brother kubuntu like a charm. (using the same modules => no (wrong) driver problem...?)

Okay I found the solution: it's a bug in kernel 2.6.14 and 2.6.15
