Remove signature separator in Evolution

In Evolution (and most mail clients/services), there is a line with "--" inserted before the signature.

I disabled it successfully in Thunderbird, but I recently switched to Evolution, and I can't find the setting.

Guides found on Google said to use gconf-editor, but the setting wasn't there. Other guides said to look under advanced in Edit > Preferences, but I couldn't see a button.

Looks like those are out of date.

Has anyone done this successfully?

Hi 2mac,

even when this is quite late, i wanted to answer this since this one of the first links when googling the issue.

What 2 do:

Step 1: Install dconf.

pacman -S dconf

Step 2: Write the setting to dconf

dconf write /org/gnome/evolution/mail/composer-no-signature-delim true

Step 3: Restart Evolution.

That should be it.
