Hi,
I'm not sure how I should describe this behaviour, but after the update to GNOME 3.12 terminal-applications feel „slow“.
For example, vim feels a lot slower before the GNOME 3.12 update. And gnome-terminal seems to block rtorrent, I can't download anything using rtorrent within gnome-terminal. Even Strg+Q (quit) takes minutes! If I use a tty instead of gnome-terminal, everything is fine, like before.
Anyone else getting this behaviour of gnome-terminal?
System itself is up-to-date.

There are quite a few other gnome-terminal threads after the update: have you looked through them to see if there are any fixes that work for this issue?

Of course, yes. I'm sorry I didn't mention it.
Maybe I should post a few things about my system that could help ![]()
$ pacman -Qi vte3 | grep Version
Version : 0.36.0-1
$ localectl
System Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8
VC Keymap: de
X11 Layout: de,us
X11 Variant: ,altgr-intlIf I launch gnome-terminal from another gnome-terminal instance, no errors appear:
$ gnome-terminal
$Everything seems fine so far, but rtorrent, vim and a few other applications are still freezing or are a few times slower than before the upgrade to GNOME 3.12.
Edit: Argh, I forgot to search through the systemd error logs:

Guess what: Today's update fixed gnome-terminal. I'll mark this thread as solved.
Edit: I'm sorry (again): It worked only for a few minutes, now rtorrent freezes again ![]()
Edit: Now I'm sure, some update fixed it. I still have no clue what update or when exactly.
