Did any one of you ever try rebuilding Arch with clang?
If so, was is smooth enough and were there any benefits to it? Any caveats?
I'm thinking of trying it myself so I'm just interested if anyone has a head start.

What happened to Arch's KISS? systemd sure is stupid but I must have missed the simple part ...
... and who is general Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?

I am curious which packages are you willing to rebuild. Do you mean...everything?

As many as possible would be a correct answer but essentially yes, everything. I'm an optimist
Thanks for the post, funnily enough it didn't show up in searches for me.

I don't think you can build the kernel with clang, yet. Also like already pointed out you should not expect some kind of boost from doing that. GCC still prouduces faster binaries.
