Hello. I have an HP laptop Compaq nx6110 with arch and dm-crypt + LUKS full system encryption on it. Yesterday i updated it and now after writing the key for decryption , the screen became black. The truth is that the system behind is working because i wrote my username and password, became root and run "systemctl poweroff". And then the system halted. But i cannot see anything.
Any ideas ?
P.S Maybe this post doesn'y belong here and probably needs to be moved. Mods will decide.

I connected through reverse shell to the laptop to save my files into a flash memory. I also copied the xorg log file but it doesn't seem to have something weird . Which other log file you suggest me to check for any signal of failure ? Are there any possibilities to fix it somehow or i have to re-install it ?

according to hp support site, the nx6110 uses a Intel 915GM Express Chipset.
I think you'll find several threads and multiple causes about intel + black screen after update on this forum.
please post /var/log/pacman.log so we can see what was updated.
a full log (dmesg) from a boot might also help
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Here is pacman log : http://pastebin.com/iGyeCW4j
and here dmeg's output : http://pastebin.com/JcmKFpU3
If you wonder why in pacman.log shows 1980-01-04 the answer is that , each time i set the right date, after i unplug the laptop from AC , the date is changing. And the next time i open it, it says before grub load " Date/Time not set". Also in BIOS menu the ROM date is too old. I think that maybe the little battery has been uncharged.

I followed this tutorial. When i edited the linux line from grub menu, all worked fine but after editing the /etc/mkinitcpio.conf file and rebooting, same black screen appeared!
Also if i add
i915.invert_brightness=1
instead of nomodeset in kernel line black screen disappears but i cannot open the i3 window manager in both situations.
i3: cannot open display
