Hello everyone,
my system broke after the latest kernel update, now i get the following when booting:
Warning: /lib/modules/3.14.0-4-ARCH/modules.devname not found - ignoring
ERROR: device '[UID]' not found Skipping fsck
And im dropped in a recovery shell, where I cannot even type. I will prepare a live CD, but don't know yet what to do, as i did not found much on google or in the forums, so I would be happy for any help.

I now did "pacman -Syyu mkinitcpio linux udev" from a Live CD, but that did not change anything. Also reinstalled GRUB

Solved it. Downgroaded kernel multiple times, but did not help. I had to delete the mkinitcpio preset after the downgrade, and then run mkinitcpio -p linux

Did you interrupt the kernel update with a CTRL-C by any chance? Because that's how I ended up with the same symptoms.
[btw, the solution for me was to load the LiveCD/USB, chroot to the root partition and reinstall the kernel]

That doesn't make sense. If you deleted the preset, how can you tell mkinitcpio to use the preset?
I meant delete it, reinstall mkinitcpio and kernel and run the command.
