Internet running slow

Yesterday I had many problems with internet. The pages didn't load, the torrents didn't download, so I thought it was a problem of my router. But actually I checked from another device (my smartphone) and also with another OS (KaOS Linux in the same computer) and it worked OK (just like normal). I remember, the day before yesterday, I made some updates. Maybe the update of some package produced some damage on the system.

My wifi card is an Atheros AR9285, the desktop enviroment is KDE 4.13, I don't know what packages were updated, browser is Firefox and torrent client KTorrent.

Any idea?

Re: Internet running slow

You told us almost nothing.   Read the article linked by my signature and try again.

For example:  Wired, or Wireless?  What is your Interface's Chip Set?  What software are you using to control your Interface? What desktop environment are you using? What packages did you upgrade?
Anything in the Journal?  What tools have you tried? What browser? Which torrent client?

Come on, seriously?

Re: Internet running slow

Hi there,
I'm experiencing the same issue : My internet connection is slow with the wireless way.  I use XFCE (The latest ... 4.10 I think)
lspci gives :

00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller (rev 04)
02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6205 [Taylor Peak] (rev 34)

Actually, I reinstalled my OS because of this slowness but it didn't help. So now, I have a fresh install but the machine is still slow.
Any help is welcome
Thanks
