init scripts feature request

Hello,
I see that 'depmod -a' operation runs on every system boot. I think that it's not very necessary and if it will be an option in rc.conf to disable this operation it will be realy cool.

Also, i see now that netcfg doesn't support a feature to activate last used profile.  And it will be great if it can be used as an option to NET_PROFILES variable in rc.conf like menu.

I can write shell code for both features myself and provide it to a package maintainer.

Thanks.

Re: init scripts feature request

as for depmod.... imho, the line could be entirely removed.

Nearly every kernel driver out there runs depmod -a on installation, and most of those packages also run it in the post install.

I guess depmod's run time is negligable, but its also not really needed.

right, but it's not very comfort to delete it on every upgrade. I'm using testing and it's a little annoying.
