Hi shadowhand !
This is my first post in this forum because I'm new to archlinux (which is, from what I've seen, the distribution I was looking for).
First I would like to thank you about your repository. It's awesome ! Although I don't use xfce (I used it on my ex-debian box), this up-to-date version of Thunar is very good.
I found two problems :
- I can't install gimpshop, even after a pacman -Syu.
gimpshop: not found in sync db- There's a missing dependency with xfce4-terminal-svn package. It should install libxfce4-mcs or the user will get a nice error ![]()
Keep up the great work !
(and please forgive about my english)

Funny, if you hadn't said that, I would have thought you were a native english speaker. ![]()

Gimpshop is being updated, and will be available again later today.
Thanks for catching the dependancy, it will be fixed when xfce4-terminal sees a new release.

Please click here and read the latest update.
You could have bumped the local revision to -2 to the offending packages to have pacman handle this automagically, but oh well... ![]()

That would be the right way to do it, but it's frustrating to have to fix them again later, especially with the way I automate the build process.

New dependency bugs found
gaim-cvs have to install jack-audio-connection-kit and libsamplerate.

Bloody ./configure picks up crap it shouldn't...
/me grumbles and adds them as depends again

Is anyone else experiencing huge icons (about 100x100 pixels each) in thunar's side panel?

Some (not sure which) of your Xfce packages should depend on HAL but don't. I just tried installing Thunar (nothing else except it's deps) and it wouldn't run as I don't have HAL installed, errored about not finding libhal-notify from memory. Just a FYI ![]()

xfdesktop is one, Thunar is another. It will be fixed one the next build.

hello,
I have a little problem since last updates + xorg7. X cursor doesn't fit cursor theme on some apps (firefox, vlc, ...). Suspecting xfce-mcs, no problem in fluxbox.
thx

@barjo: I've not seen this issue. Could you post a screenshot of the problem?

Does cursor appear as big X? If the cursor appear like regular X server cursor, then you are probably just missing a lib or libs. Check and see if you have libxdamage and...what was the other one, I can't remember. I had this cursor problem yesterday and after installing that, it worked fine for me. I don't know if the problem is the same for you, but once I get a chance to get back to my machine, I'll check what it was and post it here just in case.

no. First because I don't know how to capture the cursor
. I try a better explanation despite my scary english.
I had set a Xcursor theme in .Xdefaults (Xcursor.theme: pCircle).
In xfce, when the mouse is over firefox (and some other apps), it shows the default X cursors (black arrow, old school little clock when loading, ...).
In fluxbox, everything is right, except if I launch xfce-mcs-manager.

You can choose your cursor in xfce settings. (Mouse -> Cursor) I've not seen any issues by choosing my cursor this method.

Hey do you know when the gtk-engines-cvs will go back to ovalated buttons, I cannot stand the box ones, once I upgraded to the new one I built the older version to get back to the buttons like before.
Also, xgl does not display anything on my second screen
, which is a tv. Any way to get this to work, Ive tried DISPLAY:2 but it says no display is there. This is on gnome.
Other than that, great repo, I can get the latest things that I want, and no crashes, so far. ![]()
