Random kernel panic

Hello! I have reinstalled arch linux at least three times this weekend because of this issue.
I have random kernel panic (i know this because REISUB doesn't work)

Re: Random kernel panic

First, I would verify that it is a panic by ensuring that the keyboard LEDs are blinking.
What are you doing when it happens?  Does it happen only with X running?
You might try blacklisting drivers (modules) for non-essential hardware.

Re: Random kernel panic

Is this with the core kernel as well?

Re: Random kernel panic

@ewaller keyboard leds aren't blinking, I think is a kernel related issue because reisub doesn't work. If I hit caps lock nothing happens.

Then it is, in all likelihood,  not a panic.  As a sanity check, does the Magic SysReq stuff work when the kernel has not gone off to la-la land?
Can you ping your box when this happens?  Can you perhaps log in via ssh when this happens?  Any chance your disk access LED's are lit when this happens?

BTW, I don't mean that the kernel is not fully locked up.  I am just saying that it is not a panic -- unless it is so hosed that it cannot even figure out how to twiddle those LEDs.

@ewaller
No, magic sysrq doesn't work. I have to try the other things.

Be advised, On Arch, you must enable SysRq shortcuts before you need them.

Re: Random kernel panic

@ewaller yes, i knew that.
Anyway, when the PC locks no SSH/ping.
EDIT: Disk led isn't lit. So I don't think is a disk issue. Even the CPU isn't involved (it happens randomly)

Re: Random kernel panic

Does this happen when X is not running? Random hangs are usually fixed after one release so I would use an older kernel.

Great things come in tar.xz packages.

Re: Random kernel panic

@ConnorBehan yes, it can happen also when X is not running. I even tried the LTS kernel (with nvidia-lts of course) sad
I'll try to downgrade to another version and see if it works

Re: Random kernel panic

Empty bumps are not helpful.  At least, tell us what has happened and what you have tried  since your last post.  We are sure you are not just waiting for help from us; you must still be pursuing the solution.

Anyway, at this point, I would look at the modules that are loaded with lsmod, and look at the hardware in your hwinfo, and would start blacklisting the drivers for hardware you can live without.  See if any particular driver makes it unstable.

Re: Random kernel panic

I updated the kernel and disabled a "auto PCI clock" flag in the BIOS. That increased A LOT uptime (from a few minutes to a hour) but still crashes are happening.

Re: Random kernel panic

Changed nvidia ti nouveau, still hangs. So I don't think it's a driver issue.
EDIT: Tried with nmi_watchdog=1 and nmi_watchdog=2. Still hangs.

Re: Random kernel panic

Bisecting is the classic (if time consuming) way to fix this. Is there an old kernel where the hangs don't occur?
