MPD not working as its own user with pulseaudio

Hey everybody,

I want to run my mpd as its own user to have music while switching between user accounts.

So I have followed the workaround https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mu … pd_user.29

Unfortunately, it doesn't work:

If I comment out the "server" line, I will get some music as far as no other application uses pulseaudio.

But I'm looking forward to hear music while using other applications.

Honestly, the method for getting the mpd user to work with your pulseaudio instance is a bit of a hack. I think it is highly recommended to run the service as your own user.

you are missing the anonymous access...

load-module module-native-protocol-tcp auth-ip-acl=127.0.0.1 auth-anonymous=1

Unfortunately, this does not change anything. I get still "failed to connect: Connection refused" errors.

show your complete default.pa (also make sure that you dont override pulse settings in ~/.config/pulse) this setting should allow sound for ANY user - i just tried it and it works
also: of course you restarted pulseaudio?

I restarted pulseaudio and my computer.
