MythTv?

Just wondering if anyone knew if ArchLinux will have a MythTv package?

I currently run Gentoo, and there is a ebuild for it. It makes installing MythTV very simple.
Now if Arch had such a package, that would be icing on the cake.
The ease of use of portage, but with fast binary installs.

Thanks,

Re: MythTv?

Currently there isn't.  From what I understand there's a lot of perl that needs installing for it.  Someone wanted to build it at one point.

Re: MythTv?

I don't think MythTv uses perl, it's a C++ app created with QT.
It shouldn't be to hard for someone that is familar with building arch packages.  the most difficult part would be making sure the package properly installed dependencies such as lame, msql and that KDE is compiled with Mysql support.
