How to automatically backup the *.ics of an ownCloud calendar?

Hope, this fits in here:

I have an instance of ownCloud running on a shared host. I want to backup the calendar's *.ics file to my computer at home once a day. I found an arcticle with a possible solution. Unfortunately the wget parameters --auth-no-challenge, --http-user=user and --http-password=password are used. This leads to my credentials being placed in the server's process list at runtime (and probably in some log file, too). So I'm looking for another solution. I have shell access to the server but I can't find the *.ics stored within ownCloud's folder structure. It looks like the *.ics file gets created everytime it gets downloaded within ownCloud's interface.

Is there an alternative way to backup this file automatically?
