Installation steps
Hi,
Haven't been using Arch for the last two years but i finally found home again.
Back then we installed using /arch/setup, but that seems to have been deprecated?
If I look at the Begginers guide over at the wiki it seems that I have to do the pre configuration like, language, network, partition etc... and to install the base system type: pacstrap -i /mnt base?
Is this correct?

The official install guide is the authoritative document here, read that first. If you feel you need the extra info provided by the beginners guide, by all means use that.

I would see this thread which is quite recent, it should help answer some of your questions such like the rough stages of installation and the old AIF.
