rdesktop causes segfault

Within the last hour my desktop has been killed many times. Every time I had to re-login and reopen all my applications. It always happened shortly after doing a click on a remote Win7-machine which I was connected to via rdesktop; that's why I think rdesktop causes this problem.

I found the following lines in /var/log/messages.log:

May 18 23:12:17 jasonsHome kernel: slim[466]: segfault at 2200040080 ip 00007f4020ac5b68 sp 00007fff0768cab0 error 4 in libc-2.19.so[7f4020a4c000+1a4000]
May 18 23:12:16 jasonsHome systemd[1]: slim.service: main process exited, code=killed, status=11/SEGV

This doesn't help me much, but maybe it helps you helping me? :-)

rdesktop is Version 1.8.1 and I already updated and rebooted the whole system.

Re: rdesktop causes segfault

I think you'll need to have a look at http://developer.berlios.de/projects/slim/ plus getting familiar with gdb might also be useful. Unless you have more information which would tell us more you need to debug this to fix it. Alternatively try another login-manager
