In total there are 2090 lines in the output. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to debug this. Can anyone tell me where to start searching for the problem?

Cheers
Johannes

Re: [SOLVED] Strange mount list

Is your /etc/mtab a symlink to /proc/self/mounts?

Re: [SOLVED] Strange mount list

Thanks for the reply. No, AFAIK it's not:

habicht ~/tmp % ls -l /etc | grep mtab
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 92337 19. Mai 19:21 mtab

Re: [SOLVED] Strange mount list

Okay, can you post the output of the following command:

pacman -Q filesystem

Re: [SOLVED] Strange mount list

Hm,, weird. Can you reinstall that package, then check if your /etc/mtab is a symlink after? If not, you'll have to create it manually.

ln -sf /proc/self/mounts /etc/mtab

Re: [SOLVED] Strange mount list

Reinstalling filesystem fixed it. :-)

Re: [SOLVED] Strange mount list

Glad I could help. If it happens again, check any custom cron jobs, or custom scripts you run, and make sure they're not overwriting the symlink with a regular file.
