Hi,
Trying to install Arch and get the graphics going (on Acer Aspire V3, UEFI Bios, dual-boot with win 8.1) I have installed:
xorg-server
xorg-server-utils
xorg-apps
xorg-init
kde-meta
But hitting
startx
produces the following error:
...
Fatal server error:
(EE) no screens found(EE)
...
My graphic cards (according to
lspci | grep VGA
) are:
Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)
NVIDIA Corporation GK107M [GeForce GT 730M] (rev a1)
I have googled the error and found many hits, but none were helpful
Any lead is most welcomed.

Have you installed the xf86-video-intel & xf86-video-nouveau packages?

Please follow the instructions on the wiki carefully. You skipped a step.

Agree with 2ManyDogs‘s idea。

Head_on_a_Stick, I have tried it previously, but it didn't work.
Trilby, which step?
2ManyDogs and fuermobai, I'm not sure and I also don't know how to check for it. It does seem logical, though, since I have an integrated card together with the NVIDIA (I bought the computer second hand to serve as a media station so I don't have all the specs). I'll give it a try and report.
Thanks!
