Having issues with running Planetside 2 both with and without steam. I've been parsing through the terminal output and found multiple issues related to ntlm_auth

lib32-libwbclient (modified for 4.1.7-s from the AUR)
Steam works just fine, and I am able to run the Planetside 2 launcher, but as soon as it loads I am presented with:
"LaunchPad was unable to connect. Please check the network connection or try again later. If the problem persists, please visit http://www.soe.com/help for assistance.

From the terminal I see "ntlm_auth: /usr/lib/libiniparser.so: no version information available (required by ntlm_auth)" pop up with regularity. I have libiniparser installed and updated to the most recent version in the repos. I was having more ntlm_auth issues before installing samba and packages from the AUR
Based on the AppDB entry from a week ago, I should be able to run Planetside 2 through steam on Arch x86_64 (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p … &iId=27109). What do I need to do next?

Take a look at the PoL script for Planetside 2. Dxdiag, full dx setup and vcrun2008 is set up to be installed there, may be completely unnecessary however. You might want to use WINEDEBUG for some more information. Try a new, clean prefix with a wine version that is reported to work. You could try running previously installed PS2 from a new prefix, install what is needed and try again, and so no.
