Screen randomly fades in and out during installation

Hey,
The title is self explanative, I'm getting randoms fade in and fade out during installation, which is making impossible to make any further inspection about this issue.
Trying to install from a USB stick, the newer .iso available.
My GPU is a Radeon HD 7950.

Any suggestions?

Not sure I can help.  I don't have anything Radeon.   But, if an LCD is "fading" in which the image freezes and then kind of morphs to gray or white, then the controller has stopped sending data to the LCD panel.  After the LVDS data stop, the state of the LCD 'shutters' just merrily drift to their relaxed state.
