Xorg7 resolution and window placement

I'm currently running Xorg7 with the nvidia drivers and it's all working but I've got a couple of issues that are verging on annoying. I have my Modeline setup that worked fine under the old Xorg fine but not anymore, every time I start X it starts at 2048x1536 and I have to manually change it back to 1600x1200. Also once I've done that and fixed all the associated positioning for my startup apps, it seems as though fvwm still thinks the screen res is at the bigger size. It's not, I can't move my mouse cursor passed the edge of the 1600x1200 but if I open a new terminal with a few apps open it'll open half off the screen and if I have a lot of apps open, sometimes stuff starts entirely out of view.

I'm 99% sure Xorg doesn't have a virtual res of the larger size still because I can't move my cursor past the edge of the screen (I can still see the edges if you get me) and I can't scroll my desktop around like you can when you have that set up.

Any ideas how I can fix this would be awesome. I can handle resetting the screen res every time I start X but the windows being created off screen is really frustrating  :x

Thanks smile xorg.conf

Re: Xorg7 resolution and window placement

Remove "@75"

Modeline "1600x1200" 245.66 1600 1632 2560 2592 1200 1223 1238 1261

If you still have problems, try

Option "IgnoreEDID" "true"
