I just installed arch according to the beginners guide on a separate disk sdb.
It used to have a gpt system on it before.
I did:
# sgdisk --zap-all /dev/sdb
at this point it complained something about GPT and requiring a reboot to refresh the partition tables or something.
then I proceeded to create partitions with fdisk.
All went well and I got the base system installed but on first boot i get this:
I can't figure this out, is it my radeon 270 or did something go wrong while preparing the disk. Any suggestions are helpful.

.suggestion: rescue disk, ie grml, + parted or gparted. fdisk doesnt like gpt.

either fix the partitions or wipe the disk and start over.

it has a ms-dos partition table and everything seems to be fine. the home partition had a warning label that suggested to "check" the partition to fill the space, which i did. it didn't help.
if i start over, what should i do to make sure this won't happen again?
