Dunst working in Openbox, but not in Awesome

Hi,

I have Dunst installed as my notification daemon. I set my configuration file to be ~/.config/dunst/dunstrc with

dunst -conf ~/.config/dunst/dunstrc

I have edited the file how I want and it works fine in Openbox. However, when I use Awesome, the notification box does not look how I configured it to be. The notifications pop up, but the appearance is the default appearance. I tried to run the dunst -conf command again and it told me:

Name Lost. Is Another notification daemon running?

I don't see anything in my Openbox config files that seems relevant to dunst - nothing in autostart.

How are you autostarting dunst in openbox and in awesome? Are you using the same method in both cases?

I guess they are autostarting the same, but honestly I don't know how it's happening. When I try

sudo systemctl status dunst.service

It returns:

● dunst.service
Loaded: not-found (Reason: No such file or directory)
   Active: inactive (dead)

It also can't find notification-daemon and notification-server.
