Civilization V now on Linux!

See: Civilization V Announcement

Civilization V is a Steamworks game which means that if you owned the Windows version you now own the Linux version too as of today.  Both expansions, Gods & Kings and Brave New World, have also been ported.

The upcoming Civilization: Beyond Earth will also have a native Linux port.

Woohoo!

Hmm, i stopped playing it after CIV 3, but this is indeed good news.

MAYBE in the future i'll look into getting a steam account.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Re: Civilization V now on Linux!

The game starts for me, some music is playing, but the screen is blank. I have Radeon 7870 with open source driver (Gallium3D radeonsi). What configurations do you guys have? Do you use Nvidia/AMD blobs or open source drivers? Thanks.
