Maven won't start

Hi, I'm having trubble starting maven. It just returns an error when I run the command.

$ mvn
Error: Could not find or load main class .opt.maven.boot.plexus-classworlds-2.5.1.jar

Can't find anything about this on the web, so it seams like no one else has this problem. Which is weird considering that I have it on both my laptop and on my workstation.
Any ideas?
